Oberweis Dairy
Background
Oberweis Dairy is the parent company of several dairy-related and fast-food restaurant operations throughout the Midwest. It’s businesses include a home delivery service, which delivers traditional dairy products, including milk, ice cream, cheese, and yogurt, as well as bacon and seasonal products.
Problem
Though Oberweis has been a successful brand for almost 100 years, more recently, there has been increased competition for shelf space within the ‘premium dairy’ category. Oberweis’s branding appears dated in comparison to it’s new competitors.
Design Objective
The goal was to shift the brand from a vintage feel to something that connects with today’s consumers. To accomplish this, I chose a bright and playful approach that’s reflected in the new logo, color palette, illustration style, and iconography.
